Journal de la Nature / Nature Journal - Due Date October 30th
Students are to complete a nature journal (6E, 6F, 6G - 15 pages)(6D - 10 pages) based on their interests relating to the Earth, nature, animals, etc... Last week we took a nature walk and students were to write 3 questions or curiosities they had regarding the planet. The questions are meant to guide their initial research but further questions should come up along the way.
I am looking for evidence of research. They can present their findings in a number of ways.
- pictures - detailed drawings - writing (poems, songs, diary style entry) - images - samples - graphs - glossary of new words
There should be a combination of these elements throughout their journal.
Students will have time in class to work on their journal but they will need to dedicate some time at home as well in order to complete it.

Les Bactéries Menacent
This assignment will be completed in class.
Students are researching the most dangerous (or helpful) bacteria they can find. They will complete a general information sheet and they then must write a persuasive text convincing me that their choice is the best one.
We've taken time to review how to write a persuasive text and the students will be completing a rough and good copy.
They will receive a grade in both Science and in French Language Arts.

Infographic
Students have chosen a animal with which they will research or identify, at least; 3 physical, and 1 behavioural adaptation. They will also include at least 2 interesting facts.
Students will be marked on the accuracy of their findings, their organization and attractiveness (neat, colourful, image/drawing) of their poster.
Students have received their information sheet with scoring rubric.
All will be due by the end of the week. (Some classes have different times because of school disruptions this week.
